Legate Goris was a senior Cardassian military official sympathetic to Damar and the Cardassian Rebellion. In 2375, he offered to commit his troops to join Damar's forces but never got the chance. He was betrayed by fellow officer Gul Revok. Goris was killed, along with the rest of his men, by Dominion forces. (DS9: "The Dogs of War") This character was only mentioned in dialogue. According to the script , Goris was pronounced as "GORE-es".
