The Sonic fans that remained pissed off after what happened against Samus in 2002 were ready to go for this match, and for a few seconds they were effective. They were actually able to take the board vote from Cloud, and Sonic was ahead for a tiny little bit. In 2004, Sonic was given a rematch against Samus and got his ass whipped. In 2005, Sonic was handed a very winnable match against Mega Man, but handed the match away twice.
