Carnarvon Township was located in south-central Manitoulin Island in northern Ontario, centred around the community of Mindemoya. In 1998, Carnarvon was amalgamated with the adjoining township of Sandfield and municipally unorganized areas to form the new Municipality of Central Manitoulin. The fire department became part of the Central Manitoulin Fire Department.
