Months before, Haveer Jarn had deserted from the Necasian Military after uncovering information that betrayed the treachery of Necasian leader Askar Invado earlier in the war, which helped him get to power. A while afterward, Jarn had headed to Boz Pity, acting on information that Askar was there, but this turned out to be a trap and he was captured.
