Mesmerino is a hypnotist who works at the restaurant The Pimento Grove as an entertainer for the customers. He called Homer up onto the stage and hypnotized him into thinking he was a famous historian and then author Emily Dickinson, which Homer confused with actress Angie Dickinson. He then hypnotizes Homer into thinking he's twelve years old again. Homer then recalled a memory of him finding a dead body as a young boy. Mesmerino was also part of the mob attacking Homer for dooming Springfield.
