In about 247 ABY Haldo became a crew member of the transport Naboo Grassland. On the ship he worked as mechanic and one time he erroneously broke a water tank, flooding a service tunnel in the transport. When Koro Shimti went to help him a group of Trandoshan pirates boarded the Naboo Grassland. The crew tried to fight against the pirates and Haldo and Shimti had some skirmishes with couples or trios of enemies, till Haldo was wounded by a blaster shop. The Selkat sacrificed himself stopping three Trandoshans while Shimti was reaching the command bridge.
