Valentine la Touche McEntee, (created 1st Baron McEntee in 1951) (16 January 1871 – 11 February 1953) was an Irish-born Labour Party politician. A member of Walthamstow Urban District Council from 1920, he became Mayor of Walthamstow 1929-30 and 1951-52 following the town's incorporation as a municipal borough. He was member of parliament for Walthamstow West from 1922 to 1924 and from 1929 to 1950, before being elevated to the House of Lords in 1951. More information on the Wikipedia page [1]
