The N'Akkiarlian colonic worm was an intestinal worm which affected primarily the N'Akkiarla and humanity. These worms were almost always harmless and they lived in the intestines, primarily the colon, where they fed on blood, due to secreting a special anæsthetic they were practically impossible to feel and most cases were symptomless. However, large infestations could be felt as an itchy and discomforting sensation in the rectum.
