Tom Spilsbury continued as editor of the magazine. January's issue 416 was the last issue to use the Doctor Who logo associated with Series 3 to the 2009 Specials. With issue 417 the magazine's cover underwent a redesign to feature a version of the newest Doctor Who logo based on Series 5's logo. Much like 2006's "His & Hers" covers, issue 420 was published with two separate covers, one featuring Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor and one featuring Karen Gillan as Amy Pond.
