When fellow Grand Justice Tela Rovas, who was an undercover Sith, received a letter from the Jedi Order asking for her surrender, Rovas used Selvi as a Human shield when the evacuation from the chambers occurred. Jedi Knight Jaina Solo decided not to activate a booby trapped sliding door from crushing the pair, as her orders explicitly forbade civilian casualties, despite Selvi's reputation for corruption.
