Dirk Reacher was a traitorous Araluan in The Burning Bridge. He was carrying false plans meant to be found in order to trick King Duncan's army. After fleeing Morgarath's army he was surrounded by Wargals and killed just before Halt and Will could make contact with him. They finished off the Wargals and retrieved the plans, later discovering their false nature and foiling Morgarath's plan to devastate the Araluan army.
