Tommy Orpington was a footballer for Weatherfield County FC who sought the help of Michelle Connor to help organise his wedding. During his time on the street he became friends with both Michelle's husband Steve McDonald and his business partner Tim Metcalfe, igniting a feud between the pair. However, after an accident whilst playing football in the street, Tommy was struck off from work for six months and as a result, he and his fiancée decided to fire Michelle as their wedding planner.
