The Anti-Cyber Virus or A-CVI was invented by Dr. Julianne Belman. It was an experimental technology that could be used to destroy a CVI within an Implant's brain. An A-CVI saved Ronald Sandoval's life when his original CVI began to degrade. Belman was able to administer an A-CVI to completely remove the CVI. The process took approximately 24 hours. Once the original CVI had been eradicated, a new one was implanted and Sandoval survived ("Sandoval's Run").
