The East African Co-operation (EAC) is an inter-governmental organization with the mandate to promote regional integration and development among the Republics of Kenya, Uganda and the United Republic of Tanzania. As the main coordinating body for the partner states, the EAC’s overriding goal is to promotea people-centered economic, political, social and cultural development on the basis of balance, equity and mutual benefit of the member states.
