Tarlang's Neck (S."Achad Tarlang") threaded the gap between Tarlang and the Ered Nimrais. Contrary to popular belief, the pass was named for a legendary Giant named Tarlang. Passage was easy through the Neck , which was gently sloped and almost never blocked by foul weather.
