Gardulla Besadii the Elder, also known as Gardulla the Hutt, was an elder feminine Hutt who was one of the many powerful and greedy Hutt crime lords that controlled the desert planet of Tatooine. At some point in her life, she owned Anakin and Shmi Skywalker as slaves. But she would soon lose them to a Toydarian junk-dealer, Watto, in a podracing bet. This Besadii was the mother of Gardulla Besadii the Younger and Decca Besadii Diori. She was also a ruling member of the Besadii Secret Society, led and created by Muggera Besadii Tai. She had also formed a rivalry with Jabba Desilijic Tiure.
