I'll Take You There is a 2008 American Romantic Drama film written by David Aaron Cohen and directed by Kimberley Peirce based off the 2002 Joyce Carol Oates novel of the same name starring Lily Collins, Tristan Wilds, Alden Ehrenreich, Luke Pasqualino, Jesse James, Jeremy Piven, Joely Richardson and Vanessa Redgrave. The film was released theatrically on September 24th, 2009. The film is set in 1952 and deals with important political issues such as the Civil Rights Movement and racial segregation.
