If The Devil came up in any one of the three slides, the round ended and the contestant loses all of his or her cash accumulated in that round. However, if the player avoided the devil and accumulated $1,000 or more, he/she won a prize package in addition to the cash. In the Jokers & Devils era, three Jokers won a prize while a Devil lost all prizes won up to that point. For Christmas episodes, the Jokers were replaced with Santa Clauses and the Devils were replaced with Scrooges; this meant three Santas won a prize while a Scrooge lost all prizes won up to that point.
