Sonic Wings (Aero Fighters in the west) is a series of military-themed, vertically scrolling Shoot 'em Ups by Video System. The series started on Arcades, receiving various home-ports. The story shows the exploits of Project Blue, a worldwide peace-keeping organization formed by top guns from various countries and led by Lord River N. White. The series is known for it's over-the-top characters and humorous dialogue.
