The Basso Oil Refinery was a business in Miami, Florida managed by Alexander Escobedo. It was secretly part of a gunrunning racket ran by Rico Granados and was kept under close watch by his men. In 1959, the refinery was attacked by the Corleone family and Medina began paying his cut to Dominic, through his soldato Harold Campi.
