A glowing darling was a pink creature of unknown origin that had two antennae with flashing tips, and went extinct a thousand years ago from the present time of the Smurfs cartoon series. One appears in the episode "A Pet For Baby Smurf" which is actually Azrael the cat who was transformed by magic into this form by his master Gargamel to be his ultimate Smurf catcher. It initially behaves like a friendly creature, but eventually reveals its malicious intent as it seeks after Smurfs.
