ILY sign is an unusual running gag hand gesture that can be seen in InuYasha series. The hand gesture shows the combination of capital "I", "L", "Y", which means "I Love You". Although this hand gesture originated from America, feudal character like Inuyasha used to show one or two ILY signs during funny awkward moments. It is known as the hand gesture signature of Rumiko Takahashi's manga works (appears in Urusei Yatsura, Ranma ½, Kyōkai no Rinne etc. as well).
