Beloth, otherwise known as Beloth the Wise, was a powerful Dragon Rider and the original owner of the black and blue sword belt with twelve diamonds that Eragon received from Oromis. Little is known of his life save that which can be found in accounts of the Year of Darkness. Beloth the Wise also came up with the idea of storing magical energy in objects, such as jewelry.
