Dennis Pitts (6th January, 1930 - 19th April, 1994) wrote one episode of Coronation Street - Episode 739 (15th January 1968). A noted journalist and author, he worked for the New Statesman, the People and the Daily Express, and once interviewed former Prime Minister Clement Attlee.
