A red humanoid dinosaur-like being named Spikorouleusdennummale manages to escape his home and is found by some men aboard a ship. When he meets the Ghostbusters, he is named Spike for short and tells them how Nurtog, a tyrannical T-Rex ghost, has conquered his land. The Ghostbusters manage to hold Nurtog in their proton streams, but the tyrant manages to escape the trap's pull and go back to Spike's home. The Ghostbusters then learn that they tried to capture a mental image of Nurtog and that they had to go back to Spike's homeworld in order to defeat the real Nurtog.
