The Empslu Region was a region of space within the Grand Cluster. Lit brightly from the glow of thousands of compacted stars, it exposed a black hole named the Abyss from which orbited four massive blue supergiants known as the Four Kings from Am'sz, or locally as the Empslu 4. Stellar gases in the region made it hard for navigation computers to distinguish between space and matter so personal experience helped a spacer in the area from accidentally being pulled into one of the stars or becoming sucked into The Abyss.
