Richard Petty Motorsports (formely Petty Enterprises and Gillett Evernham Motorsports) is a NASCAR team owned by Richard Petty, Medallion Financial, and Douglas G. Bergeron that competes in the Sprint Cup Series and the Nationwide Series. In the Sprint Cup Series, the team fields the #9 DeWalt/Stanley Ford Fusion for Marcos Ambrose and the #43 Smithfield Foods Ford Fusion for Aric Almirola. In the Nationwide Series, the team fields the #43 WinField Ford Fusion for Dakoda Armstrong. RPM was formed in 2009 from a merger between Petty Enterprises and Gillett Evernham Motorsports.
