Around 1913 the Crawley brothers from Saffron Walden, Essex designed a motor plough. The first three were built by Garretts of Leiston, Suffolk over the next couple of years. The brothers subsequently opened their own factory, to produced a series of motor ploughs and the three-wheeled 'Agrimotor' vehicles. The factory remained in operation for around a decade till the firm shut in the 1920s depression with many other firms. The company participated in the International Tractor Trials, and Agricultural Machinery Exhibition - 1919 nr Lincoln, England.
