This hilly upland region of Cardolan lay south of the Great East Road and west of Dyr Erib. Mintyrnath contained the South Downs, the Barrow-downs, the Ceren Hills, Dol Tinare, Faerdor, Old Forest and the high plains of central Cardolan.
