The Pynthonian Amalgamation (also known as the Pythonian Alliance) was a tightly connected interstellar state of the Alpha Quadrant. The Amalgamation was then created to have a united military force in the Alpha Pynthui system, containing Pynthonia, Apoloa, and Saegeniar. Their alliance evolved into having an alliance of forty planets, where the Alliance has established itself as a major galactic power, despite having less than half as much planets than the Federation.
