The druggat was one of the many forms of currency used on Tatooine in the final years of the Galactic Republic. Fifty druggats was the deal made between Watto and Qui-Gon Jinn for the T-14 hyperdrive generator when the Naboo ship carrying Queen Padmé Amidala was stranded on Tatooine due to serious damage. Brightwater, from the renegade stormtroop group called Hand of Judgment, carried one for luck which a grateful farmer gave him. He lost it after he gave his utility belt to Luke Skywalker.
