Knowing her voice was unpleasant to the ears of most non-Athan sentients, Kylaea asked her sister Jira Zaffrod to record a performance of the song instead. Touched by the chance to honor her sister, Jira did so, and the song was offered as a gift to Nairasho's family on Baes. When she performed at the Samayus Palace of Opera in 153 ABY, Jira included "Lament for Nairasho" among the works she sang.
