The Company started out as A.E. Morrison & Son, of South wigston, Leicestershire. They were taken over by Associated Electric Vehicle Manufacturers Ltd in 1936. AEVM also took over the Electricars company of Birmingham and merged than to Form Morrison Electricars. AEVM was mainly owned by Young Accumulator Co. a large battery manufacturer. Youngs were taken over by Crompton Parkinson in 1941.
