Lifeboat Shuttle A5A was a small jump-capable space ship used by Captain Cordelia Naismith and her crew of Betan Expeditionary Force members. They attempted to flee Escobar space in this shuttle after they abandoned and blew up the original cargo ship that they took into the region as a blockade-runner. The shuttle was disguised as a rock to aid in their escape; nevertheless, the crew was captured and taken prisoner.
