Born on August 10, 1962 in Hartford, CT, she began her career as a children's TV writer, and made her way to becoming a best selling author. Her first book series, the Underland Chronicles became a New York Times best selling series. Her inspiration for this series came from Alice in Wonderland, when Suzanne thought what you might find if you fell down a manhole, rather than a rabbit hole. In 2008, Suzanne released the first book in the Hunger Games trilogy, which would soon receive critical acclaim and, eventually, a movie adaption of her beloved novels.
