Lodella are a type of creature found in the Pelagirs. They have a hairless head, fuzzy tail and dorsal spines, which lay flat when they are frightened. While they try to avoid killing them, the Tayledras keep lodella driven out of lands they are cleansing and civilizing. Darkwind and Elspeth drive a pair away in Winds of Change.
