The Addams Family is a musical stage show based on Charles Addams' characters from the cartoons rather than the television and film characters. After a tryout in Chicago, the show opened on Broadway in April 2010. The original cast featured Nathan Lane as Gomez and Bebe Neuwirth as Morticia. An original Broadway cast recording was released on June 8, 2010. A US national tour began September 2011 and an Australian Production opened in Sydney, March 2013. In March 2011, Nathan Lane was replaced by Roger Rees as Gomez.
