The new York City Medical Examiner's office is the building where autopsies are performed. It is located on East 26th Street in Manhattan. Vincent D'Agosta and Special Agent Pendergast have visited the office in the past while working on cases. Former main character Bill Smithback's body was taken to the office to be autopsied after his death in Cemetery Dance.
