Amongst basic elemental natures two cycles of interaction exist. The first of these, the , defines which element can overcome another. This cycle is incredibly well throughout the world known and demonstrates properties such as water overcoming fire. Alternatively, there is a lesser known cycle of interactions, referred to as the , which defines which element generates another. This process should not be confused with the property of wind-natured chakra enhancing flames, but instead demonstrates an elemental nature creating another through their intrinsic properties. The interactions between the elements in this particular fashion allow the user of this technique to shift the nature transformation of a technique to the next component of the cycle.
