The 1965-20 was a Grand National (now Nextel Cup) event held at Cleveland County Fairgrounds on May 27, 1965. Dick Hutcherson clearly had the best car in the race, leading all 175 laps before his axle broke and Hutcherson fell to 3rd. Ned Jarrett went by and went onto a dominating 22-lap victory on Bud Moore. For Jarrett, the eventual season champion, it was the second time that he had lapped a field twenty-two times. That margin of victory is still the largest in NASCAR history. Stats
