A Freeze Ball (also known as a Spherical Petrification Module) is an invention created by Gargamel in the 2017 movie, Smurfs: The Lost Village, in order to capture Smurfs. The Freeze Ball was created by Gargamel using the following ingredients: A pinch of newt poo, a gram of calcified fungus from between the toes of a yak, and a piece of cheese he left in his underpants last week. Once completed, it encases its target in green ice; making them unable to escape. Gargamel uses these balls to capture Papa Smurf, Brainy, Hefty, Clumsy and all the Smurfettes of Smurfy Grove in order to extract their essence, but because Smurfette was not considered a real Smurf, they had no effect on her.
