The 3150 Atlantic hurricane season was an extremely active season due to an El Nino effect. With a numerous amount of storms developed year-round, it beats 2005 as the most active season in history. Most of these storms cause catastrophic damage to many cities. Many of which include: Hurricane Benny, a Category 9 hurricane in late January which destroyed the Florida panhandle, Hurricane Michelle, a major hurricane that caused catastrophic damage to central New England in July, and Tropical Storm Adrian, a noticeably weak and disorganized storm which caused extreme flooding by surprise which was absorbed by Benny.
