Sounds On Sunday was a half-hour BBC Radio One programme broadcast on Sunday nights from 7 p.m.. It ran from 1972-10-01 to 1975-11-30 and was scrapped around the time the station’s schedule was revamped due to budget cutbacks. At the start of 1975, Sounds On Sunday was replaced for a time by "Quiz Kid 75"[1] but returned in late March with guest musician presenters (introduced by DJs) until the last month of the year.
