Mra-El was a high ranking officer in the Kree Armada and the fianceé of Car-Oll. The two lived happily until the Kree war against the Skrulls worsened and she was sent to spy on Earth in order to have the planet destroyed so the Kree forces could build a tactical advantage against the Skrulls. What he didn't expect was Car-Oll to fall in love with the Hulk, and that she would eventually betray their kind to aid the Avengers, prompting him to against her as Chaos.
