Stephen Hannigan, referred to as Steve, was a team member and colleague of Lisbon, Rigsby, and Cho back with the CBI in 2004 before Patrick Jane became a consultant. Hannigan was provoked by Jane into punching him. He later asked for and got a transfer to another unit because he did not want to work with Patrick Jane.
