Amonour is a term used in Salamonis and other settlements in the Vale of Willow signifying a person's fame and fortune, and as such a constantly fluctuating value. At times and by some people, a high Amonour is considered almost as or more valueable than material wealth, and swearing by it is an indication of genuine honesty - rather like a priest swearing by his faith, it is beyond doubt or reproach.
