Southlake Carroll High School's Wil Singley is favored to repeat his overall championship in next Sunday's, May 3, 2009, Money Box Cap 2k Open Water Race in Lady Bird Lake. In 2007, Singley won the boys side of the High School Division, which serves as the ASA Open Water Swimming Texas High School Championship, but was barely nipped by UT's Caleb McDermott for the overall title. Last year, Singley won both. 1976 Olympic Triple Gold Medalist, Jim Montgomery, from Dallas, and 1968 Olympian Peter Williams, from Mercersburg, PA will be among the participants that range from ages 13 to 70+.
