Göller was a Starfleet commodore in the mid-24th century. Circa stardate 34675.8, Göller was at the M43 Alpha system as part of a Federation team trying to broker a peace between Ekos and Zeon. During this mission, an Ekosian attack disrupted these efforts, and security officer Lieutenant Shewer Freeman of the USS Crockett, was killed in the line of duty. Göller sent personal condolences to Freeman's family, and then recommended to the admiralty that the Federation's efforts in the system be abandoned until the two native races were able to achieve peace on their own.
