The 1987 Mother’s Cookies A’s set was a team issue baseball card set. The cards were given away at an A’s home game on July 5, 1987. The cards are standard sized and (like most Mother’s sets) feature full bleed photographs on the card fronts. A departure from the previous releases, this 28-card set focuses on every player who played in an All-Star game as an Oakland Athletic. The teamed moved to Oakland in 1968. The cards were given out as a set to the first 25,000 in attendance for the game. The photographs used for the cards are from Doug McWilliams’ vintage collection.
