Jayda Hal was a female Zabrak Jedi Knight who trained Jhon Cordatus as a Jedi beginning in 968 ABY. She was a Jedi Guardian who taught that a Jedi's strength of character was more important than their combat strength. Cordatus would go on to become Grand Master of the New Jedi Order, and he credited Hal as a major influence in his life.
